Once again the RWA conference was freaking amazing! The keynote speeches by Stephanie Laurens and Robyn Carr were moving, funny and spot-on. It’s clear why and how these two ladies rose to the top of our profession.
I had the opportunity to sit in on some great workshops and listen to other speakers including the amazing Nora Roberts!
My friend Rosanna came to the conference this year as well and we had such fun.
Friday night was the Sourcebooks dinner and I think it was the best one ever! They had a huge party bus (complete with disco lights) whisk us off to Maestro’s in Newport Beach.
It. Was. Spectacular.
Here’s a shot of Gloria, Cheryl, Sharon, me and Terry all dolled up and ready to go.
We had drinks and appetizers overlooking the pacific ocean and dinner was a mouthwatering assortment of yumminess. Dessert? Holy cow. I had something called Chocolate Sin….it was everything I hoped it would be.
The best part? I got to hang with my Sourcebooks Sisters! I was in a super-woman sandwich. I got to sit between Barbara Vey and Carolyn Brown–a recipe for lots of laughs.
Saturday was the Sourcebooks signing and this was the first one that I got to participate in. Meeting readers is such a thrill and something that never, ever gets old!
While I was at the conference, I had a chance to interview several authors for Romance Roundup. Here are my first three with authors–Lori Handeland, Julia London and Cheryl Brooks.
More interviews to come and another contest too!
